Title: CA or Chico Ale Yeast
Post by: Mike on October 12, 2012, 08:34:38 AM
Hey,

I got a recipe for a Sierra Nevada Clone which calls for CA or Chico Ale Yeast. Would anyone know where I could get some? I had a look on thehomebrewcompany and its pretty expensive! Any ideas?

Use us-05 or wlp001 which I believe is even used by SN.

Cheers for that. If I take the hit on a liquid yeast is it difficult to collect the yeast after fermentation for future brews?

Thanks

Just realised that I have no yeast for my SN clone which I was hoping to make this weekend.  To try and save two euro (cant believe I did this) I just bought a pack of US-05 on ebay which will be sent from Lithuania....€5 in total.  I should have just spent €7.55 on it in thehomebrewcompany.ie

Should my yeast not arrive before Christmas, would anyone have some US-05 I could call on?

Mondays are not my friend.
