Title: Tesco Hudl
Post by: admin on October 04, 2013, 10:46:00 AM
Lads, is this is stock in any of the Tescos in NI? Or is it a Tesco Direct only thing?

They actually looks pretty good - spec-wise that is. Hmmm....

My missus wants an iPad for Christmas.

But she also wanted a cheap Tyrone b*****d as a husband.

Can't have both.

It is available instore but apparently in my local Ballymena Branch you have to "wait a little longer" at least that's what the sign said. I'm on my iPhone so I can't upload a pic. Hope that helps.

From what i have been reading its not on release in UK until end of October so i doubt we will get it released before that ? Have been looking at the spec and i am seriously considering it as i need something light and portable like this for college. Only thing is i have not seen the "oirish" price yet  :P

Finally had a go on one of these at the weekend; the wife's parents got one and needed help setting up wifi, etc.

All I can say based on first impressions is that it's a pretty impressive wee piece of kit, and much less cheap-looking than I was expecting.

The ability to expand storage with micro sd cards, the hdmi output, and the gps are great additions.

The wife (who's looking a tablet for Christmas) said the 7" display was a tad small for her liking, but I found it to be fine (though I don't wear glasses).

Seemed fairly slick in operation too, though I've read that it stutters a bit with the high-end Android games.

Apparently they're flying off the shelves in Tesco. If I could get one for < £100, I'd probably go for it.
