Title: Dark or Mild?
Post by: CB_Phil on October 11, 2013, 12:48:25 AM
Im almost home (really, I gotta be!), & Ive picked myself, on the web, a Muntons Gold Dockland Porter kit w/black roasted Barley malt & a chocklate malt also.Plan being to use 250 kg of each, 250 kg dextrose or brown sugar. so Im out by a planned 500kg, just wondering would I be better off using mild to make up the extra so as not to go overboard, or just go w/the dark?
huge thanks again for the help
Phil

250g chocolate will be a bit overpowering, I'd cut it back a bit.

what would you recommended? 100 or so? That was my thinking if I put a dark in too, thought a mild would help w/out getting in the way?
