Welcome to the forum. Where in Limerick are you from? Originally from Limerick myself but living in Dublin now.
Rex Banner would not approve of your name or the fact that some other user has already "borrowed" it from the Simpsons :)

Might want to think of a new name.

Hey, I thought I was the only brewer in west limerick. Delighted to have some company. There is a small number of us that have met intermittently in the blind pig in limerick. Also if your free tomorrow Brett Dundee is holding his now annual hopsoverfest in birdhill tomorrow. Brett being a prolific grower of hops holds this event and kindly allows people to pick from his hop garden followed by a BBQ and beer tasting/supping/sharing. Unfortunately I am stuck in dublin tomorrow and cannot make it.

Chris & anyone else thinking of going up to Brettdundee in Birdhill from West Limerick area I can take up to 3 passengers in my car. I will be coming from Rockchapel, Co. Cork through Newcastle West and on for Birdhill. Get in touch by pm and we will sort something out. I hope to set off about 1.30pm or so from home.

Welcome to the NHC 1joeoreilly. I have so far got most of my brewing stuff from homebrew west in Liosban in Galway and find their range extensive and reasonably priced www.homebrewwest.ie

The home brew company are up in Co. Laois http://www.thehomebrewcompany.ie/

Its possible to get discounts with the above 2 companies along with more when you become a member of NHC see http://www.nationalhomebrewclub.com/forum/index.php/topic,2551.0.html

In addition to the 2 mentioned above other home brewing supplies companies here in republic of ireland are:

http://www.mybeerandwine.ie/ - Dublin (Online order via website only)

http://www.thebeerclub.ie/ - Dublin (Online only) limited range of home brew supplies and great variety of craft beers

http://www.wexbrew.com/ - Adamstown Co. Wexford
