Title: Handicaps for homebrew competitions?
Post by: admin on October 30, 2013, 06:32:38 PM
Padraic and I chatted about this a while back.

Take people like Dodge. So that the rest of us stand a chance Dodge is given a handicap of 0.9. That means all Dodge's scores are multiplied by 0.9. So the next time he gets 44 it'd actually be entered as 40 after the handicap.

Thoughts?

Would this be for the smaller comps or the big one too?

I think it's a bad idea.
The winning brew goes for production and it's not REALLY the winning brew?
I thought the poll said breaking his arm was the way forward on this. ;)

Maybe a number of divisions. Yearly promotion and relegation.

I like the idea of a league actually! If we had some sort of points system, it could be fun!

And on the handicaps I reckon I should get a 1.5!

It's simple really. Just break both arms of Dodge, Rossa, Will D and Cathal O'D, and then the rest of us stand a chance  :P

If people read the style guidelines it would be easier on someone.
