Title: Midleton - East Rebels meeting proposal
Post by: johnrm on November 07, 2013, 11:41:51 AM
Thanks to all who attended the meet on Nov. 6th

Proposing Dec 4th for a follow up meet...
I will have racked to secondary about Nov. 20th myself, will discuss this on the 4th
On the night we will bottle the beer that we made on Nov. 6th.
We will cover bottle sourcing, cleaning and sanitation, priming, filling and capping.
I will bring some samples, established brewers are welcome to do so too.

Jan 8th meet (Jan 1st would not work)...
Sampling the beer from Nov Meet.
Discussing 'off' flavours if they exist and patting ourselves on the back if not!
Discuss Kit-hacking (Adding Hops and grains) and plan a hacked kit for the next brew.

Anyone that was at the first meetup, please post a brief intro and let me know if you are happy with the above.

Dec 4th sounds good - as do your plans.

I should be along - I'm Brian, living in Midleton, new to homebrew. I've been doing kits, and my plan is to move to
small batch all grain.
I'm starting from scratch from that, so will be very open to discussing it at the meeting and online.
I'll take any advice :)

My wife wants to start making her own Cider, so we'll be planning that too.

For cider I only have the basics, I have smelly room with 3 x batches on to prove it.

@Lordeoin, I will be studying your tomes on Kit hacking a kit as this is what I plan on doing next.
