Title: Yeast
Post by: AJ_Rowley on November 13, 2013, 11:52:11 AM
Hopefully going to be doing my first batch of all grain this evening (albeit small batch) the recipe I'm doing only calls for a half pack of yeast and I was wondering if I was to do another brew on Sunday would I be able to use the other half?

If I can what would I need to do to store until then.

Thank you in advance as usual guys

You must be doing a small brew because a 25 litre batch when run through beersmith can often ask for the use of 2 packs of yeast to get the cell count up. :)

Yeah its a 1 gallon batch recipe from Brooklyn brewshops beer making book and it says to only use a half packet of dry yeast.

To me its a bit wasteful if I have to throw it out so if u could save the rest of the yeast for another batch then on Sunday it would be great.

Happy days. So should I wrap it up in some tin foil and bung it in the fridge?
