Title: AG#1 Everyday IPA
Post by: AJ_Rowley on November 14, 2013, 10:24:41 AM
Well I did it, I finally made a batch of my first all-grain beer. It was only a 1 gallon batch but it's a start.

The recipe was from The Beer Making Book. Great read and some interesting recipes.

I had to swap out some ingredients as some were not available.

1.5kg Maris Otter
170g Carared
45g Munich

3g Columbus - 60min
3g Cascade - 45min
3g Cascade - 30min
3g Cascade - 15min
3g Cascade - 5min
3g Cascade - 0min

Half packet of danstar Nottingham yeast

It was all done on my cooker top. I have no idea what the OG is as it was 2.30 in the morning when I finished so I hadn't taken a reading.

All in all I am well happy and I'll see how it is in a couple weeks?

Cheers John. Looking now at doing a left hand milk stout clone and a wheat beer. Might heading down there today.
