Title: Bramling Cross Extract Smash.
Post by: Greg2013 on November 22, 2013, 06:05:57 PM
Got a HB delivery today of 2 x 1.5kg cans of liquid LME and 100 grams Bramling Cross (7.3% AA). Was just on BS2 trying to make up a kinda smash receipe lol.

Anyway i forgot i had 1kg of Dextrose as well and it got me to thinking, would it be better to use both tins of LME or use one tin plus the 1kg of dextrose? Thinking bramling cross pale ale right now?

Will be 60min boil on 7 litres water in stock pot. Also have about 300gr dark brown sugar which i was thinking of using for some extra colour ?

Oh and btw many thanks to HBC for holding the order until i was ready to receive it ;D

I just want to use bramling in this to see what they are like. Thing is they are 2011 harvest and i don't know how to adjust for that in BS2?

BTW the hops in that receipe have been adjusted down to 5.3% AA using BS2.
