And maybe one for cider and one for wine too?
Would it be more accessible?
Thoughts?
ingredients....
Yeah I think that is a good idea. Keeps everything together. Would there be enough activity on a separate wine and cider forum? In a lot of ways the techniques for both overlap, maybe Wine & Cider forum perhaps?
Generally the progression is from kit to extract to all grain. When you are at all grain I guess you have a good idea of what you are doing. If there is a kit forum I think we need to make sure that an experienced brewer should check it every few days so that the beginners are not left by themselves. :)
QuoteThere are some experienced kit brewers that could teach me a thing or two. Barry from Maynooth, who was at the Liffey Brewers meet last month, knows his stuff. He's not a member here unfortunately.
Fair point - hope he at the next meetup!!!
Def should be one for us kit brewers, to talk kits and the likes. We all had to start somewhere!
I think so, if we want the forum to grow
I agree. I've done a couple of extracts but mostly done kits. Might seem less daunting to newbies (like myself) to have separate forums where we can discuss kits and extracts.
I'd have no problems with a split between kits, extract and all grain. It wasn't until I started looking into the capital brewers first brew day that I realised that I know nothing about kits.
So if a subforum for kits would get the guys discussing kits a bit more so that I might learn a bit then it could only be a good thing for our knowledge base here.
I see Tube has added the new forums. Is the Brewing chat forum regarded as the All Grain forum?
