Hi there,
Looking to buy a book on brewing for Xmas. Looking to get something that would have a combination of brewing theory (educating myself out of the bad habits) but also some sections on hops and also some recipes would not go astray.
Any recommendations please ?

+1
I hate to be a sheep but it's probably the best homebrew book... Get radical brewing!
Thanks, just ordered the Randy Mosher book.

Get Designing Great Beers as well while you are at it.
One is all recipes and the other has no recipes at all.
Wheat by Stan Hieronymus is a bit of a personal favourite.
I really enjoyed Brewing Better Beer by Gordon Strong.
I can bring it along to the next meet if you want a lend.

Cool,
I can bring it along to the next meetup.
You live in Blackrock don't you? If you like, you can PM me your address and I'll drop it in your letterbox some time during the next week.

IPA by Mitch Steele is great if you're a fan of that style. The BYO clone brews issue is a deadly buy also.

Cheers Hop Bomb two for the future reference.

When I started brewing, waterstones had one book about beer styles, 2 years on things seem to be picking up and they have a nice little section of about 10 books.
