Those not on twitter, Alex Lawes and Cara Declan brewed up an Oatmeal Stout with Coffee & Vanilla, and are launching it at L. Mulligan's on Wednesday 18th.
Good man lads! Looking forward to trying it. Salt house are always looking for Irish beers...
Cheers lads. Wednesday night in mulligans.
Absolutely loving the scene of homebrewers getting in there right now.
Spent last night loving Rossa's galaxy pale ale in mulligans.
Been supping cathal's ginger stout from the tank and planning a night on it down in Farringtons.
We've this on for draught this Christmas and another brew hot on the heels of it next month .
'Wan the homebrewers putting their stuff out. Ireland's all the better for it!
See yous on Wednesday yeah?

Yeah, first I heard of it was yesterday! I would have been on the lookout if I had if known.

Yeah with BrĂș I think.

Nope it was with Trouble and it's or it was at Brewdock, I had a crafty pint earlier in the week I preferred lower abv version, I must be going soft.
Whats the legal/revenue/hse issues with releasing beers this way? Is this part of the brown paper bag project or something new? Im not in the know with this project like ye folks in the pale
Well I'm in the Pale and know as much as yourself :)
No legal issues. It's not Homebrewer selling unlike that ejit in Cork who was selling but disappeared.
The Homebrewer provides the recipe to the contract brewer or brewery and it's scaled up and brewing process overseen by Homebrewer.
Must be a nice warm feeling to be drinking your own beer with your peers in a public bar.

That's legal if the contract brewery are the ones delivering and charging for the beer though. Need to set yourself up with revenue if you want to it yourself.
Sure if you brew in a commercial set up then all is legal as the brewer is charging you for producing the beer and has to add on the excise duty and VAT too. :(

But when you go to sell it you'll need a distributors license will you not?
Contract brewing happens in Belgium a lot
