Title: Simcoe / Citra Pale Ale
Post by: Snuff on December 29, 2012, 09:03:17 PM
Just started a keg of pale that I brewed 01/11/12 :
3kg Pale Ale
1kg Amber
.5kg Wheat
20g Simcoe @ 60 min
10g Citra @ 15 min
10g Citra @ 5 min
10g Citra @ dry hop
IBU around 44 and ABV around 4.8%
Tasted like cat piss when I kegged it but tastes great now.
Not having a cat, I have to guess what cat piss tasted like.
Anyway, the tropical fruit is coming through and citrus is the overall feeling.
I get the feeling it will calm down further with more age but doubt it will get the chance since it is my New Year beer.

QuoteAny sign of ashy flavours? ;)

Joking aside, you're bringing it to the next meet?

Yeah, if there is any left.
I can already see your face, hmmmm cat piss with an over whelming taste of smoke.........
