Title: Brewers choice weissbier yeast
Post by: Eoghan on December 22, 2013, 01:32:35 PM
I bought and brewed one of these kits: http://www.homebrewwest.ie/brewers-choice-ultimate-bavarian-weissbier-3070-p.asp (http://www.homebrewwest.ie/brewers-choice-ultimate-bavarian-weissbier-3070-p.asp).
I brewed it by the instructions; with no hacks.
I am really pleased with the results.

Should I pour the bottle conditioned beer carefully and avoid mixing in the sediment, like I do with my other beers?
Or is the yeast with this kit good enough to drink?

Thanks for your advice.

Weisse beer yeast sediment is meant to be drunk - thats why you see us swirling the bottles around!

You dont' have though - then you would call it "Kristal" (filtered hefe weissen)

Pour both, close eyes and get a partner to give you tastes - see which you prefer!

The yeast is fine, just be ready for a 'windy' night/morning  ;D
