When Cornell did the Bond theme tune, Mario Rosenstock said that he wouldn't listen to people associated with pap rock, and I've dreaded the T.W.A.T. ever since; Cornell is up there with Paul Rodgers et al in my opinion. Best vocal performance for me was Robert Plant with his band The Strange Sensation a few years back in The Olympia; an old man who knew his limits and knew he couldn't hit the 'Dazed and Confused' notes any more, but still put on a brilliant, pitch perfect performance.
