Title: Are Bulmers 1ltr Screwcap Bottles Reuseable?
Post by: fishjam45 (Colin) on December 30, 2013, 07:00:42 PM
Hello all,
As I've started home brewing I've also asked friends to keep any glass bottles they have so I can re-use them.  In return for these bottles I've promised people samples of my home brew, fair deal I reckon.  So anyway, I received some 1lt Glass Bulmers bottles, what i want to know before I waste a few litres of cider is that are they re-usable? They are a screw cap and not a normal crown cap.  I have the old lids from the bottles too.

If anyone has ever re-used these bottles please let me know if they were successfull or not?

Cheers

I've used them before. For ciders and a few beers. Only problem I found with when is that the lids can be a pain in the hole to open when fully primed.

Nice bottles for session beers and hand enough to get your hands on.

ah cool, so they will allow the cider to carbonate properly?
(when tightened properly)
