Do you guys manage to store your empty bottles in your garage? I think they will go mouldy out there but I have no room in the house now, my stuff keeps getting "tidyed" away so its time to move everything out to the garage except anything that might be fermenting.
Would bottles store ok in an empty cabinet?

If you give your bottles a good clean they're grand to store in the garage. Maybe try and get some cardboard beer boxes to keep them covered.
I keep mine in the garage. Store them upside-down in a crate or box or sheet of ply with holes drilled in it. They can drip dry and won't go moldly. They will fill up with dust and creepy crawlies if you keep them upright!
I've loads stored in the garage. Cleaned and covered with a piece of tinfoil to keep crap out
They keep better with a cap on them. And full of beer. ;)
Used to store bottles in cardboard but found the cardboard just absorbed atmospheric moisture and eventually went mouldy (my garage had issues with water coming in under the door). I sorted this problem out & I bought a lot of stackable cargo boxes and store full bottles in them. Store my empties in a collection of uncovered plastic boxes/beer crates. These bottles are put through dish washer 50C night before bottling. All bottles are given a spray with star San prior and rinsed with clean cold water just before bottling. Thus far no major issues but I would recommend keeping an eye on my boxes containg bottles of beer and clean them periodically with kitchen wet wipes. This keeps mould in check. I have found that flip tops that are full with beer can get Mold growing on the rubber seal especially if any beer residue is left on the neck or outside of the bottle. Cleaning the outside of the bottles is a good idea just after bottling.
Alternatively ignore the above & switch to kegs :)

i clean and dry them, then pop on an old used bent crown cap by hand and store them in the shed in crates.
I sanitise them, let them dry out completely, and then cap them with these:

then i can store them anywhere
Thanks all, I need to get a few crates so. Maybe ikea have some cheap crates or boxes to store the bottles upside down in.

Woodies do stackable cargo boxes. Beer crates are good but can be hard to come by.

After I pour from one I rinse it out with water quickly and they're stored in the garage face up. When it comes to bottling I clean them all out and sanitize by dunking
