Anyone know where I can get Haemocytometer slides for my microscope. For counting yeast cells, very small, etc.
I've asked the chemist, the blood nurse and the internet.
Tom
I'll ask one of the girls in the lab if she has any. She normally does dilutions to count but may have those slides as a means of doing it too.
Ledge! Happy to reimburse any costs, naturally.
Thanks.
I bought a few (Cough!!) from the bay!
Not expensive but you need to download the instructions (i.e. the multipliers)
All is availbale on t'inter'web thingy
There are a few on eBay right enough, I never thought to check. Are they hard to use, Will?
Not really, the hard part is the counting!
What sort of microscope have you?
Suggest you read this for a starter:

Sort of image you will get:
Ex lab, anyway, but can't recall the name. It goes up to and beyond 400x, and is backlit. Haven't had chance to play with it properly as I don't have the slides yet.
"Bio-Girl" as I call her doesn't have any of these. Serrie. :-X
"Bio-Girl", wasn't she a short-lived Marvel Comics character?
Cheers for looking, Shiny.
