Title: Irish Yeast Co. on College Street
Post by: hurleyci on January 23, 2014, 05:23:28 PM
Ok, very new to this, but I was just wondering about the shop near Doyles called the Irish Yeast Co.. Does anyone know anything about them? Like, do they actually sell yeast?! Is is just bakers yeast or do they stock brewers yeast?!

Accross from Trinity? The old lad used be the only source of fresh yeast in Dublin cos he grew it himself and he used sell every week on a Thursday. He's stopped a few years now and it was only bakers yeast.

AB mauri  are behind Mauribrew yeast of which I am very attracted to ( my fav). We have made dozens of brews with especially their lager yeast which is superb for all round lagers, steam beers and scotch ales.
