Nash's in newcastle west has been bought by Aldi. The yard has a couple of hundred plastic bottle crates. There is no access at the moment but I have been loitering with intent. If the crates are being disposed of I will take 10 or so for myself. Anyone else who wants some leave numbers and I will get them if I can.
It would be great if you could get me two :)
yes please I will have 20 :)
Me too on 20!!
I would like some too :)
Throw down a number I will take as many as I can once I can get access. I just don't want to be stuck with 100 crates and no one to take them

If was to put in a number i would take 10 but really whatever is available although a little less than Tubomyces :)
I'd take 10 too if they're going! :)

I'll take 1,000,000,00,0
I'll take all they have but you'll have to collect them from me. I have plenty of storage.
What sort of bottles do these hold?
They should hold the swingtops that alot of us got :)
I can't get in but they look the same as the Pepsi crates and they will hold 500ml bottles
If they'll hold regular 500ml bottles I'd be very grateful of a few. 10 seems a popular number Cheers! :-)

Hi Chris
I would be interested in 20 also if they hold 500ml bottles
Shanna
a quick chat with the estate agent or liquidator and a brown envelope should result in a gate pass for a van ;D
Shite I read that as Newcastle near Rathcoole :-[
Stick me down for 10 please Chris, and 10 for ColinC who's away enjoying himself, lucky sod ;)
I'll get as many as I can and we can sort out distribution later. I have plenty of storage
At this rate a big Dublin van is on the cards :D
Id say get everything you can. With the group on crates buy falling through you will have no problem shifting them and could turn into a nice little earner for someone or the club. I'd be interested in about 10 myself if its possible.
I am also interested in getting 10 crates if available
Current count is at 1 billion 130 crates.
Myself and LordElin picked up a load of crates in Michelstown last year that were on done deal. Some of the ones I got have nashes printed on them so they're the some ones. They hold 12 bottles. They will easily hold 1 litre fliptops. I use mine mostly for 500ml bottles. They're the berries ;) They are also handy for propping up your bottling bucket or makeshift scaffolding.
You'll have no bother shifting them Chris, so grab as many as you can.
If we get lucky there may be more in the warehouse.
Is it just bottling they did there , there could also be corneys , are they not a distibutor for pepsi etc. ? :)
You could be right
I went to have a look.
There's about 600 blue crates, mostly on pallets, with bottles in them (mostly broken clear 250ml crown cap)
The crates hold 24X330ml bottles.
You will not fit most pint bottles in them. Those tall thin Fullers bottles might just about squeeze in.
I didn't see any bits and pieces to suggest there'd be cornies, but it might be worth checking up on.
Balls :(

Agreed
@LordEoin how did you get in? I've been trying to meet someone there for weeks. It's a shame about the size of the crates but I couldn't tell from outside the fence. Sorry about getting ye're hopes up :(
on the other hand...
there might be a whole bottling plant going for scrap price... 8)
... and the other other hand, seems many brewers of high abv beers use 330ml bottles.. so there should be still a market for these crates, ,, I'll keep my name here if the option is still there ?
