Rough plan... (cut'n'paste from last thread)
Mad Monk Midleton 8pm sharp
We will cook another kit, I think Brian volunteered, I'll hook up with him and we'll work out the detail/logistics.
Discussion on Temperature control - The importance of this and how to regulate this and the impact on final beer.
Yeast - Forget your dog, Yeast is mans best friend! Care for your yeast and the reward is great! Different types, where to get it, harvesting.
Samples and swaps.
cool, thought it was first wed of the month but that gives my bottles to get that final fizz and I might dare to bring in a sample :-O

What have you got conditioning? Not sure if I'll make it myself, we'll see next week.
Oh, welcome to the forum :D
Hey Jason,
I shifted it back to 2nd Wed. as 1st Wed conflicts with too much stuff.
I just got the Ok from conor in the Mad Monk so the email is just gone out.
I'm going to bring a keg of the Irish Red that we milled the last night for sampling.
Hopefully its 'Smithwicksy' ;)
Oh and once you're registered and posting you're a member, just not a full member!
Go on, its only EUR10!
sweet thanks for the link, I will sign up in the morning
I have a few in the bottle conditioning atm, a hacked coopers Australian larger kit, a honey porter, which was supposed to be honey and oatmeal but didn't realise in time that you need to mash oats not just steep. and finally a strawberry cider. So hopefully ill have a few bottles of the hacked kit by next week. I have a orange and sultana mead along with another porter bubbling away :-)
One you're a member, do a few reviews and you can enter raffles for kits and stuff to review.
And you can showcase your photographic talent by taking lots of nice pics!
should have join after the first meet, the 5% from HBW would have paid for the year twice over at this stage :-(
Hi all,
I'm a new homebrewer and just became a member of the forum, paid the fee today so soon a full member :-).
Live in Clonakilty but hope to join in a meeting at some stage. Hope you all welcome a new west Cork beerlover.
Frank
The more the merrier Frank :)
There's also supposed to be a meeting in Cork, usually The Franciscan Well, in a few weeks time. Keep an eye on the link below for the latest.

Are we good to bring a few beers to the pub? Only live the other side of Dungourney so I should come aling really lol
Do of course.
Bring samples and swaps.
As for Clonakilty, do pop along.
What time are we aiming for this outing?
Kick off 8pm sharp.
OP edited
manky weather out there, if you're travelling, drive safe.
I'm just hoping I don't get called into work tonight.
I made it despite the ordeal getting there.
Small intimate turnout, probably down to weather.
Apart from one epic drive to get there I think everyone was local to the Midleton area.
It was good fun - I'll bring some samples of the Old English Porter kit I made next time
and I'll be trying out the all grain kit I was showing off this weekend.
I'm surprized anyone turned up! Martyrs :P The lecky is only back here with a few minutes >:(
sorry for not being there last night lads. my area was real bad. only got power back an hour ago.
whens the next one? before the nationals?
We aim for the second Wednesday of each month so next meet is 12th March. This is in the middle of the nationals
I am planning an all grain brew some Saturday, the problem is finding a Saturday!
@Jason T, what dates suited you again?
