Title: Quick one about dispensing cider
Post by: Tom on January 27, 2014, 04:42:19 PM
Well, I'll hopefully be dispensing my GB cider (when I pick it up!) from a big SS thing that is definitely mine.

My question is do I need a specific tap/font to dispense the cider from? I want it fizzy, so it'll be carbed and forced out, but it's the final stage from tap to glass I'm unsure of.

I guess I mean like Guinness has a different nozzle...

A normal (non G) tap is what you want. If it has flow control so much the better!

If all you have is a G tap just unscrew the nozzle, take out the plastic yoke, the stainless steel plate with the micro holes and the o-ring and put somewhere safe (and memorable)

You may need a cocktail stick to ease out the o-ring

Cool, thanks. Sorted then!

If I do take out the G part, can I post it's 'safe' location on the forum, or is that bad form?
