Post by: barkar on January 29, 2014, 03:02:03 PM
Hi , i had 1 big and 1 small fire extinguisher , the big one ran out so i connected up the small one , when i press down on the handle the the gas blew everywhere apart from into the reg, even tried it with the outlet hose that comes with it the same thing , did anyone else come across this with the smaller ones ? or is it a fault with my  reg  - dont think it is as it worked fine prior to this

Handles on FE are not great for HB'ing and handles are designed for minimal open and closings and to auto shut, repeated opening and closing and it's gonna fail, next time you are having it filled get a valve on it.

Got a big cylinder , woroks grand , so the fault was the smaller Fe , I reckon it was used a bit b4 ,

The gas is no good for nowt but will hold on to cylinder , i can get it replaced with a full one next time , just wondering is it a fault with the smaller ones , i had got another small cylinder as well for a mate and he experienced the same thing, weird conincidence or just generally not usuable for hb

My fire extinguisher leaks gas from the handle too.  Only a small amount but enough that I make sure to turn off the taps on my gas lines
