Title: Danstar - Nottingham
Post by: sub82 on January 31, 2014, 02:29:10 PM
Just purchase 2 packets of this the other day - in one packet the contents are tightly packed and hard to the touch, whereas in the other the contents are softer and not as tightly packed.

I noticed on the back of the packet that it says not to use it if the pack is soft or puffed up. Would this be of concern?

Yes, considering that there were big problems with batches of Notty having pinholes in the packs, I'd say return it.

This is going on  a few years now and the ferments often don't start.

Thanks for this guys!

I received 4 packets of Danstar - Nottingham this week by mail order for my next brew. A quick check found that they are OK, but I'm pretty sure I would have just bucked them in!

Ta!
