I picked up one of the porter kits this evening. It looks handy enough.

it's just the 2 variants of this all grain starter kit. http://www.truebatchbrew.com/ (http://www.truebatchbrew.com/)

I picked up the porter one to see what it's like - I'll bring it along to the next meetup in Midleton for anyone that wants to see it.

They are a young couple from Bray making them, not overly knowledgeable on grains or hops but enthusiastic and the making of a great little business and fair f to them.
I tried their stout and i was surprised how good it was.
Certainly a great present for somebody who wanted to brew their first beer and way superior to a kit.

I was thinking the same.
It's not very useful as a brewing setup, but as a present it's fantastic :)
Never know, might rope someone else into the game!
