Title: Brewferm Grain Mill
Post by: Parrot on February 12, 2014, 07:16:43 PM
OK! I bought a new Brewferm Mill and in putting it together I was slightly surprised that (a) the crank handle won't go on to the shaft without the aid of a lump hammer and (b) only one of the rollers turns when the shaft is turned.  ??? The means of adjusting the roller gap seems a bit strange too.

Anyone with experience using this particular mill able to offer any advice?

The instructions that accompanied the mill are woefully short on details or information.

One roller turning is standard. The grain will turn the other as they go through.

got the handle on and off easy enough, just took a bit of wiggling.  agree that the instructions are really bad, espically when it says "assemble as shown" with just a small full size picture, before i started i though i was missing 2 nuts.
changing the gap is a bit fiddly but once it gets set properly your not going to be changing it very often.
