Title: Home brewed wine in 2015
Post by: Dunkel on February 17, 2014, 11:33:20 PM
We are the National Homebrew Club of Ireland. How about incorporating (home brewed) wine into the 2015 competition?
Before anybody says "it's not BJCP", ok it isn't, but they just consider beer, cider and mead. But home brewed wine, whether from kits or natural ingredients, fits in with our philosophy.
I know the arguements about finding qualified judges for this; but I work in the wine trade, and I know (and am myself) many wine judges who would be happy to assess this. Wotcha think?

+1 from me too.

I've just brewed a sweet cup of coffee, what category do I enter this in?  :P

That's a good idea for next year. If there was a comp for wine this year I would have been tempted to enter something.

Great Idea. Don't forget the desert wines/ports/sherrys tho'
