Title: stc 1000 problem
Post by: mcgrath on February 20, 2014, 08:21:40 PM
Wired up one today to control fermentation fridge. When the cool indicator comes on its not sending power to fridge. Anyone ever had this problem?  There's a 10amp fuse inside. I'll prob open it up and check it out but not sure how simple that will be. I've wired one before and had no problems.
Cheers...

Do to hear a click from the stc when cooling kicks in?
Have you a multimeter? Check for circuit open/closed across cooling with no load connected.
There could be a long delay set on cooling.

Yeah its flashing not constant. I'll check again when I'm there tomorrow. Maybe patience is all that's required :-) fingers crossed.

Cheers lads you were spot on. Mine came programmed with 3 minute delay. I didn't give it enough time. Happily fermenting at steady temp now ;-)

1 degree differential and 10 min delay works best for stc's
