The MCI grain only comes whole.
fair enough. i will redraw my interest in the grain so. not sure i can justify buying a mill.
I will take a bag of each type of grain off you and am also interested in the corny kegs. Are they ball lock? How much do you want for them?
How much for the pH pen and refractometer?
I forgot about the "in the open" policy, sorry about that.
I have so much equipment that I am going to photograph everything and compile a PDF catalogue which I'll post here in the next few days. I'm going to put prices on everything but I'm open to all reasonable offers.
will get back as quickly as possible but hope to have it all sorted by Thursday evening
Thanks for the interest.
P 8)
How much are you looking for ph tester and where did you get it? and how much for cornies?
I'm interested in the 60ltr cooler box mash tun and will look at the photo & price when published.

Your like vultures over a carcass we should all be crying and having a wake as Parrot is leaving brewing behind :(
BTW "The lot" being defined as everything for sale not just the 4 cornies I'm after! ;)
"Give a man a beer, he'll waste an hour. Teach a man to brew, he'll waste a lifetime."
Parrot, withdraw all these items, throw it to the attic and who knows you might come back to it sooner than you think.
This is what we all wish you for.
Hi Parrot, i hope your circumstances are changing for the better! I'm interested in the demijohns and the cool box.
Sorry to hear you're withdrawing.
I on the other hand am just getting into it. Would love all of the stuff, but I presum others can pay you more handsomely. However, I would love to take some demijohns off you! Please PM me if there is any equipment still available.
Hurleyci read sticky at top of for sale section, everything has to be done in public domain until payment
Should there be pricing also?
PDF catalogue is ready and I'll be posting it here later this evening when I get home. (The file is on my desktop and I'm posting this on the move)
Lots of interest. Thanks for all the posts, PMs and emails and hopefully between here and the UK I can shift all this equipment.

Just got home and decided now's as good a time as any and I can get the bit of dinner after the job is done. ;D but I've run into a problem. The pdf is 4.3Mb because of the need for pics and the system won't let me post it - says the file is too big?
I'll go look for another solution. Any suggestions? ::)

I will take some of them demijohns and 6 of them sparkaloid bags from you depending on logistics ;D
Where are you anyway and how would i get them to Dungarvan ?
Here's a Dropbox link for the full Cat in one piece.

@Greg2013: I'm in Wexford Town - thought you wanted the lot?
P 8)
No m8 you have me mixed up with someone else i reckon ;D
Thats real pro stuff you have there, I'd seriously be crying and I wish I had more slotties kicking around.
So you paid 45 for each keg but 2 are missing dip tubes which will cost me 15 about to replace so would you take 120 for all 4?
I'll also offer to get some of that other gear to buyers around the country on my travels.
Hi parrot
i have a question where did you get the malt tube from would love to have the money to buy this from you looks a great piece of equipment and best of luck with your sale.
40 euro for stirplate, stirbar, flask
Hi Parrot
I'll offer €30 for pump and controller.
Hi Parrot,
Sorry to hear your selling up. I'll give you €42.50 a piece for the two complete cornie kegs if they're not already gone.... Thanks...

Slippy usually a queueing system for bids on indivdual items so if I can't do a deal we keep going through next in line rather than he who shouts loudest.
60 for all the demijohns and 4 bags of the sparkaloid ;D

CH didn't realise but that's cool anyway...
Hi I am interested in:
All the fermentors
100Kg Malt
22 Kiliner jars
02 Gear
Would you take 250 for the lot?
Ok, I'm really looking to build up my equipment here, I know I'm a bit late to the party, but heres a list of stuff I'm interested in. Also, not entirely sure of what's a reasonable price so please get on to me if I'm being unreasonable!
Fermentation vessells! Brewerhooer, I know you've already requested ALL of them, but if you could spare 2 or 3 that'd be great! I suppose 20 for 3?
The mash tun. Haven't seem amyone bid on it, I'd be willing to pay 50 for it.
Also, if I do manage to snag myself some stuff, I'll also take the mashing bag and a few bags of oak chips for another 20!
Morning All :)
Some of you guys may have noticed that I haven't replied to any posted offers yet. This is because in the PDF catalogue, in the introduction, I said the sale would start on Saturday morning. This was to ensure that members who only get to log on at the weekend, etc., get a fair chance at making an offer on some of the items offered.
In all cases the best offer will be accepted, after all I am trying to recover as much as I can of the money I've invested in equipment. I'll probably not get to sell more than 50% of the equipment offered, realising, possibly, 25-30% of what I've invested. So please, make your best offer and you'll get a great bargain.
I'm noting the offer made and after the published start time I'll respond to offers made. just trying to be fair to all, including myself ;)

Iceberg ;)
Hi Parrot,
Is the adjustable roller a 2-roller or 3-roller one?
Thanks.
I will give you €100 for the roller mill, or €125 for the roller mill and 25kg of the ale malt.
Bw
65 for all the demijohns,4 bags of sparkaloid, and the two tubs of amalyse enzyme. ;D
If there are no other takers of the FVs I'll take the lot plus mash tun for 100 quid!
Not big into Dutch auctions and
if it's all done tomorrow out :(
The list is still knida redundant because the sale doesn't start til tomorrow.
Kinda unfair to anyone that'll be busy for the day with competition stuff.
But i'm sure it'll be fun to watch the vultures at play, bring the auctioning and brown envelopes. I imagine parrot's PMs haven't stopped pinging since yesterday. ;D

I f PMs are being accepted(and i am not saying they are) then what's the point of bidding on here? Parrot has already stated that people that have tendered a bid on this post already will be considered to have made the initial offer once the auction opens proper. ;D

Thought it might be worth re-posting the above. The sale date/time stands to facilitate those travelling, in competition, etc..
Want to be fair to everyone - particularly me :)
P 8)
€30 Immersion wort chiller
€40 Stir plate etc
This is getting slightly messy here.
I haven't accepted any offers simply because I had put a start time on the sale because I reckoned it would facilitate people who only log on at the weekend but all offers are valid.
@CH: I understand mate, no problem if you want to withdraw your offer. I'm sure you didn't mean I should be bound to accept the first offer no matter what.
Any PMs I've received have been from well wishers here and on other forums in the UK. I wouldn't be pulling a stroke like accepting offers made by PM.
Guys, I have to get the best price I can for my equipment and even then, I know I'm unlikely to realise half of it's value. I make no apologies for seeking out the best offer I can get, especially for full lots.
Don't want to offend anyone but I'm just trying to get through this and dispose of my excellent equipment and being made to feel quite awkward about it now.

Pull it and put it on Adverts with a link.

It's your stuff and you obviously worked hard to put it all together. Thanks for giving our club first chance to buy but if it's not working out put it on adverts or similar.
CARA here using CHs phone. Parrot no one's getting arsey man, I think the open auction system till Friday is a great idea. It's the fairest option on the forum for such a large and quality batch of brewing equipment.

Thanks.
Bumping up my query
@acaoshes: sorry about the delay answering your query. It the Breferm 2 Roller model from HBW.

When is this sale starting again anyway ? Parrot i am sorry to see a fellow home brewer sell off his equipment, and if i appeared to be grabbing like a mad thing i apologise, however as a beginner my list of equipment is limited due to logisitics and funding(i have have had morning cuppa so big words). That said when i see an opportunity to get a few items i need all from the same source and at a decent price i will hop on that, that's just common sense IMHO ;) I would rather give the shillings to a fellow home brewer than to a BNM or online store if at all possible ;D
Sorry El Heffe for this , i know you said only equipment questions but i felt i needed to say this as i think its what a lot of us here are feeling anyway ;D
Hi Parrot
I'd like to bump my €30 offer for your pump and controller.
Good luck with sale :)

Hi Parrot. I'm interested in the standard demijohns and will give you the €35 for the 7 that your asking. I'm situated in Dublin so it depends on the costs involved for me to get my hands on them though.
Thanks,
Johnny
Guys, I am taking note of all the offers made and putting them on a spreadsheet so don't think I'm not paying attention I just didn't want to be posting an "OK" or "GOT THAT" after every offer.
Many thanks to all members who have made offers this far.

Hi Parrot
I'll up my offer to €150 for the mill and a bag of ale malt.

Sorry again that you are giving up the brewing.
At this stage please kindly remove my offer cheers, good luck with the rest of your sale.
Just wanted to up my offers;
For the mash tun, fermenters and mashing bag I'll pay 150 for the lot;
Otherwise willing to pay 80 for the mash tun, and a tenner a piece for each fermenter and the mashing bag. I really don't need this many fermenters so if someone else wants in I'm willing to just take 3 or 4, but will take the lot if it's on offer!
Parrot,
I'll give you 65 for the oxygen aeration system, 35 for the immersion chiller.
Back again. I'd be interested in 2 bags of sparkaloid for €5. Cheers
Weekend development.
I was contacted, over the weekend, by a person looking to acquire equipment such as I had on offer. After confirming this person's bona fides through a mutual friend a viewing was arranged for yesterday morning and today I have received an offer I can't refuse for 19 of the items in my catalogue, including the biggest items, boilers, Storage Keg, Malted Grain.
The Items remaining and those who have bid on them are as follows;
Item # 6 Oxygen Aeration System Bidders: Brewerhooer, Gav, Ned.
Item # 7 DJs – Bidders: Greg2013
Item # 11 Refractometer Bidders: AJ Rowley
Item # 13 Water Drums Bidders:
Item # 15 Citric Acid Bidders:
Item # 16 Sodium Citrate Trihydrate Bidders:
Item # 19 Dial Thormometer Bidders:
Item # 20 JD Chips Bidders: Hurleyci
Item # 26 Stirrer Plate, Flask & Stir Bar Bidders: Beer baron, Cara, Acaoshes, Gav.
Item # 27 Mash Tun Bidders: Acaoshes, Hurleyci
I would ask that each of the above bidders confirm their best offer and I'll confirm acceptance and we can move to PMs to arrange delivery/collection as suits the buyers.
As a result of this I am closing the sale today so I can wind up this matter and arrange deliveries.
I would like to thank all who contributed to my sale efforts by comments/advice and particularly those who made offers for the various items.
Once again thanks to all who participated.
