Title: The Lucan County with 2 stories
Post by: admin on February 28, 2014, 02:01:40 PM
Not a lot of people know that Gerry's father converted the Lucan County from a 2 storey building to a 3 storey building without adding any height! The original ceilings were 20ft high as can bee seen in the photo - look at the height of the door way!

This photo is sometime pre 1891 as it was still the Spa Hotel. The current hotel was built around that time.

The old one looked a lot better. It's no oil painting these days.

Look at all those hipsters hanging out at the old one! High ceilings, high-nellies and handlebar mustaches that's what the yufes want. If Gerry reinstated it he'd be beating them away with a sh1tty stick...especially now that he is Dublin's best stocked sour specialist.  :P
