Tried this recently with a six pack of Coors light that had been hanging around my house like a bad smell for the past year. Really enjoyable, great idea for a tasting session. I found that some of the hop pellets broke up badly and wouldn't settle so would recommend bringing a tea strainer or some sort of little sieve to remove the particles when pouring. I found the bottles with the whole hops added were much easier to handle. Was also surprised how much more drinkable the beers became once they had some actual flavour!
I have a couple of these I'll bring along

Dunno if theres a need....its just to pour it out from the bottles
By the way, teacups with a lid is a genius invention (fine bone china). Quite popular in Belgium for some reason

Ok, the final line-up is to use the following for tasting - Citra, Cascade, Chinook, Zeus, and Simcoe.
Can some people please bring along a plastic one litre jug for decanting...I have one, and if we have 5 then all the better
Feck...my cascade is 2012 harvest. Still used it anyway. I found some 2012 Simcoe leaf as well that I used to compare it to 2013 harvest (leaf might not work but sure its worth a try)
Its done now (unless you want to do it yourself)
Great idea lads - nice to learn more about the effects and tastes of the individual hops.
What was the consensus on this? Worthwhile experiment?
was a disaster
I look forward to you sorting that one out
