Title: wood aged stout as FES
Post by: Saruman (Reuben Gray) on March 04, 2014, 02:28:39 PM
By the way, Enda and myself got a beer in the Foreign Extra category that was suspiciously like a Barrel aged imperial stout.....  ;)

Please advise the entrant number to Rossa and myself by pm or the score you gave it.
Did you mention it on the day?

I said it to lots of people, starting with our steward, Damian.
Don't recall entry but if it helps, it was the second "foreign extra".

Enda said it could have been theirs and I thought it like capital brewers.

Wood, whiskey, booze..... all the stuff that didn't belong in a FES.

You haven't missed the date, please decide your entry and get it to Rossa or me before the 17th if you can?

We will investigate the suspected entry and advise, we were pretty clear as to what would happen if barrel entries were put into the competition.

Did the suspected "barrel entry" win a medal?

Doesn't sound like it if it wasn't to style (FES)?

I entered a FES aswell as a stout flavoured with bourbon and vanilla. I'm hoping the bottle labels weren't mixed up at the sorting depot...? :-/ Any chance of getting the entry id for the offending beer?
