Title: BNI; anyone a member?

Is anyone here a member of BNI or know anything about them?

Small company I worked for a few years back was a member and I attended a few of the meetings. We found it very useful to begin with but over time lost it's impact and ultimately we dropped out - brother in law subsequently joined and similarly very useful in the short/medium term but tapered out

I was at a meeting first thing this morning, first thing that came into my head was cult!!

This particular 'Chapter' is only starting up. Seems like it could work but im not sure if I could stick it out or give it the attention it needs. 

tho, I'm kinda thinking about it ::)
