Title: Beoir/Blacks of Kinsale Brewday
Post by: admin on March 09, 2014, 12:55:59 AM
Looking at twitter looks like it was good craic. Beer is in FV3 now? What is it exactly? As Reuben pointed out NHC have a FV to name, and this is (IMO) the one to name.

Our man Johnrm on the ground today. AI gloves on, ready to get to work.

Meanwhile Liffey Brewers brewed up possibly the most epic lambic in Ireland. All targets hit, couldn't he been any better. Went over to HQ afterwards for some pool and darts. Epic.

It's a large stainless steel vessel, used to store beer during the fermentation process. ;)

Great day yesterday, took a load of videos and photos. I'll stick some stuff on flickr later. I want my own brewery now!

Beoir Double IPA expected imminently where all good beer is sold. Name coming soon.

Summit, Citra, Galaxy and Topaz were the hops. Think the ABV should be around the 9% but open to correction on that.

Its a long time since I was accused of being that young.
No one stopped me for ID on the way in so in the flesh I must look over 18.
Great day and good craic!

Couldn't make it on the Saturday, due to last minute family stuff, so popped down Friday night instead, and spent an enjoyable few hours with Sam at the brewery. Picked up some grain, and a few other bits, plus some S05 trub that he was just about to dump. Funny how I always seem to have a flask in the car when I visit a brewery!

It was an epic day. And when the brewing finished the drinking started in earnest with some homebrew from Brian, some unusuals from Steve (Plum Noir and Brewdogs Old World) and Sam's 3 specials, Black, Ink and Gold. And when we finished there we crammed into Reuben's camper van and did more tastings- this time the Alltech competition entries. So we finally hit the pubs after 9pm where we were partying until the early hours (we some of us). Good to see that Sam's KPA is on sale in a lot of the pubs. And I came away with a corny of the second runnings too. Sam gave me some Galaxy pellets to stick in it.

Doesn't actually say on the label what style of beer it is.

Mmm good point, it'll survive without that though.

I'm looking forward to trying it.. hopefully it won't be too expensive.

I'd say it will be quite expensive, but at approx 9.2%, presume you wouldn't be drinking too many of them.
