Post by: Will_D on March 12, 2014, 09:34:09 AM
So the plan is:

Meet at Malahide Rugby club 2pm ( In the upstairs meeting room(on left) as you walk up to the club!

The following have volunteered:

ColmR, Will, James, Renier, Brian and Cahal

Any one else like to come along?

We will have two vacuum packers, James will order spare roll of bags

We will have at least two digital scales. We will need bowls and measuring jugs.

We will need some sharpies and carrier bags, I have a rioll of swing bin liners.

Well after a shaky start we manage to pack 4 bales of pellets in about 2 hours with 5 people.

A few lessons were learned:

1. Pre made bags are much quicker.

2. If the min order is 500 gms its nbest to pack in 2 x 250 gms bags. Its actuall more efficient than making a 500 gm bag from the roll.

3. If you are using a roll then test the first seal before pouring in the pellets!! enogh to say that the club vacuum cleaner now emits a glorious Centennial aroma wherever it goes ;)

I will update the master google spread sheet with whats been done and what the analysis is.

I have Ronnans hops

A few photos are in order:

Chaps they look like the small width bags you can get much wider bags which are easier to stuff 500g into.

John: We started using 300 mm roll until we ran out. Then only had the bags that you see!

See LL#2!
