Hey there
Does anyone know where I can get some large muslin straining bags in Dublin?
I looked on the national homebrew company for their BIAB bags but the large ones are sold out.
Any help appreciated.

3 week lead time. I might order one but need something in the interim. Surely there are straining bags in foodie shops but I haven't had any luck.

Hickeys sell Muslin by the yard!! Get a few yards and make yer own??
got a large section square section of it in Kitchen Compliments, think it was only 6e or something. I cut it into smaller sections to use for partial mash, dry hopping etc. I dunno would it be big enough for more than 2 or 3 kg of grain though.
There's cheap muslin to be got in Ikea in the baby section but every time I go looking for it I can never find it. No idea of dimensions.
I got a large drawstring nylon bag from HBC that I use for BIAB (can take 5/6kgs of grain).
Muslin will rot after a few boils.
Buy a square of voile from Hickeys, that will do it, just bunch it up and make a temporary bag.

I've always just used muslin from hickeys (but then I batch sparge in a bag) - I might give the voile a go instead.
Bought some voile in Hickeys the other day, but yet to make any bags out of it.

Ha ha, thanks! Care to share and words of wisdom or blueprints? Only joking. I'm only probably going to use it for dryhopping, so will figure it out. Had one of your bags before when I was BIAB'ing, and it was really good, but doubt I will go to that much effort.
Look at our Facebook pics for how to do it. Easy copied.
