Title: Brew Demo Venue
Post by: sub82 on March 26, 2014, 11:12:00 PM
I've been checking out some places, for previously stated reasons, and am going to chat to the folk at the Warzone Centre (http://warzonecollective.com) tomorrow.

They are really keen for us to put on a demo and it fits in well with their DIY ethos. Will keep yous posted!

That looks class, Chris! Is that the same street as Ginger? Great central location. Hope it comes off :)

Cheers,

Yeah definitely still up for gobaytree! It just seemed that people wanted to do a brewday in April and it wasn't available until at least May?

Just back from this.

They're really keen for us to put on a demo. The place looks good - has a big open indoor space as well as an outdoor area. They're really dead on and have plenty of people who would come down for it - they're also associated with the farmageddon guys so could get them involved. We can bring homebrew samples etc. too!

We would probably need to give them 2 weeks notice but they rarely have anything on during the day (11am-5/6pm) on a Saturday.

What does everyone think?

Very up for that! And I'd have zero excuse as it's literally 4 minutes from my front door

What's the parking situation outside your front door? :)

Good work, Chris. Now all we need is to settle on a date.

What about either of the weekends in April; 12th or the 26th?

We could demonstrate a kit alongside the all grain to appeal to as many people as possible?

Have one secure parking space available for use if anyone wants to leave the car and pick up the next day.

Hi Chaps

The 26th would suite me best, I have to hand in my MSc dissertation on the 21st so no socializing before then im afraid.

I can bring some kit if needed, keen to crack the bad streak iv had with AG.

Cheers
Andy
