Post by: mr.drankin on April 02, 2014, 01:51:32 PM
Hey folks, does anyone know were to get gas bottles filled with pure c02?  I have the bottles and even the equipment to siphon from one bottle to another but none of the gas suppliers my work has a account with even want to rent me a bottle  :o

I was using gas but it was mixed, and it wouldnt carb properly.

Hi Dave,

I've been using this place for over a year:

NIFEX Ltd, 29 Colinglen Road Dunmurry BT17 0LR.

£90 or £100 for a filled 6kg CO2 bottle and £20 a refill. They replace the bottle for after 5 years. Can't remember how much for but it'll be a fraction of the initial £100 IIRC .

Some of the other Belfast lads are using them too.

Cheers,

-Barry

No; that's a one-off price for the bottle.. You have to replace it after 5 years but I *think* it's only 30-something quid for the replacement, filled.

Don't know of anyone who gets their own bottles filled there, though.

Cheers,
