Post by: sub82 on April 09, 2014, 05:56:29 PM
Is there a brewery in Newry? Just been driving through the town by the canal and got a really strong smell of boiling wort!

You're not just covering for a little trouser burp, Chris?

Haha - I'd be quite worried about a wort that could be blamed for that.

No brewery in Newry to my knowledge there is a grain mill ,animal foodstuffs place behind the courthouse - tescos ,that gives off a pungent tang. Nearest is whitewater in kilkeel behind the golf club (a much more pleasent whif).

Could've been that but it was a really sweet malty smell.

was at a festival just outside Dundalk  a few weeks back and the bar had some cask ale, barman said it was "crafty fox" and from small brewery in Newry.
