Title: Coopers English Bitter Hacked.

Hacked this kit with a few malts i had and 2 types of hops.

Brewed - 21-2-14

Bottled  -18-3-14

OG         1040

FG          1006

ABV          5%

1.5kg Kit
1kg Medium spray malt
110g pale ale malt
150g cara red
150g torrifed wheat
50g   chocolate

25g Fuggles @ 30mins
25g EKG      @ 15mins
25g EKG      @  5mins

21L Brew

Batched primed with 90g of sugar.

Sounds tasty did it come out red?

It's quite a dark kit to begin with.
It sounds nice. I like this kit with EKG & Fuggles :)

What yeast did you use, it finished nice and low  :)

When you use ale malt, do you; mash for an hour or do you just steep for 30min?

@ Chris - turned out a chestnut brown colour.

@ Garry - just used the kit yeast. I mash for 60mins in 3L of water.
