Title: South African Hops
Post by: CARA on April 23, 2014, 04:15:25 PM
Just got my hands on some Southern Passion (9.6 AA) hops. Anyone any experience with these or any SA hops? *cough* DODGE *cough*

Never even heard of SA hops before. Smell good?

Sounds great! Never used any SA hops since they can be hard to come by outside SA. some say it gives earthy and spicy notes with that passion fruit smell. I think it's an aroma hop.

Can you get more???? ::)

Not sure on smell as they are vac packed.
Did a bit of research and SAB have been developing 3 strains for about 20 years, this is one of them.

They're yours but if there is a little to share, maybe a brewday together?

Don't mind! Either way to brew and have some good beer to sample after brew day during the night sounds fab!  8)

pm me what you think! This is your hops I think they are unique and should take the lime light! I'm just excited that you have some home grown hops that I could join in a brew with.
