Title: Getting started in Gas AG Brewing
Post by: Qs on April 30, 2014, 06:13:15 PM
So I've read both sides on here and I've decided to go for gas based brewing.

I've got myself a 33L cooler that I'm going to build a manifold for and mash in. So thats sorted.

For boiling I'm looking at this Large Square Gas Boiling Ring (http://www.gasproducts.ie/acatalog/Large_Square_Gas_Boiling_Ring.html). I've seen some people on here are using them and they work well. What else do I need interms of tubing for it and a regulator?

I'm going to go for Brupaks SS Boiling Pan 32 Litres thats available on HBW as my kettle.

I've seen immersion chillers on eBay not much more expensive than I can make one so I'll grab one of them too.

How does that look to people? Have I missed anything I need? I have a couple of FVs and a bottling bucket I was using for kits as well as hydromoters and a thermometer. Actually whats a good thermometer for the mash and the kettle? I just have a standard glass one at the moment.
