Title: MAY TASTING
Post by: Komodo021 on May 14, 2014, 08:51:52 PM
Hey lads... so there was a suggestion during the EXPO that perhaps we could move our tastings to THE HUB and show our support to Lauren and the staff.

With that in mind i contacted Lauren who said that the doors are always open to us which is great news...

I asked Lauren would Friday the 30th of May be ok and she is more than happy to have us.. There is a DJ on at 21:30 but we should be finished our own tasting by then....SOOOO!

1. What time will we start ?
2. Lets taste out competition entries?
3. I think it goes without saying that we'll all buy a couple of pints
4. How many different styles?
5. Who can come?

Jason

Book me in provisionally. I'll have to check with the boss  ::)

I've never been to the hub before. That's the one opposite the Garda station?

Won't be there - Hopefully in Albania travelling at the time - expecting a beer desert except for gassy fizz!!!

Sadly, missed the expo but sounds interesting if visitors are welcome.

My berry wheat beer has turned out fairly tasty, but it won't be carbonated for a while yet. I was trying to clear it with finings but no joy so far, so I haven't bottled it yet. I can bottle tomorrow though and bring on Friday.

What time ye thinking of meeting up?

Wouldn't normally try to fine a wheat beer, as haze is part of the character.

Great turn out last night at The Hub lads. Some very very good beers were on show. My personal favourites were Mr Hoppy's Gueze and Frans's camomile Wit(//)
