Title: Very Cheap Cooler Boxes
Post by: Partridge9 on May 28, 2014, 08:09:52 PM
Got a cooler box in Woodies for 14.99, if your going all grain on a budget - looks perfect.

Its 25litre and probably needs to be preheated with hot water and wrapped in a blanket.

I'm using it for storing food for a camping trip meself  :)

My first mash ton was something like this. ok for small batches or someone starting out. One thing I found was that you can lift the center part out, wrap several times in tin foil and put it back together. I lost little to no heat with that little mash ton.

Strange hearing someone on here actually using a cooler box for the purpose it is intended for.  :D

It did what I needed it to do at the time before it moved on to someone else starting out.

Also you can use these small coolers for a jockey box for a single tap.i used one for a while before getting my keg fridge setup.

Buying pretty much any equipment is upsetting compared to the states.
