Title: Using a hop Randall
Post by: Shane mcdonagh on June 08, 2014, 01:10:17 PM
Anyone have any experience using a hop Randall? Any tips of using hops/spices/coffee and pairing it to a beer?

Mainly wondering are there any general rules to pairing hops for the Randall to a beer?

As in if a IPA is a single hop cascade, use cascade in the Randall or something else?

Stick with 1 style hop or blend 2/3?

This is decent for general info, but not focusing on flavours

There are no rules.  ;D

Sam from Blacks Brewery had one at the RDS festival last September and ran his Cascade+Citra pale ale through it with a different hop each time. Half the fun is seeing which you prefer so by all means experiment with blending.
