We meeting this month?
I hope so! I suppose we're talking either the 20/21st or the 27/28th, I've no preference myself.
I'm flexible at this point, Friday's are better.
I'm flexible as well.
So we're looking at the 20th or the 27th then? If we did the 20th would that be soon enough to do the small beers thing as well?
Yep, let's go for the small beers on the 20th.
grand job
Hopefully will make this one. Been busy since the start of the year so trying to get things balanced (ie. a bit of brewing) again. I kept just a bit more than a litre of the barrel brew, put it on some oak for around a weeek and bottled a couple of bottles. Tried some tonight. Very tasty - a nice complex taste, a bit peppery, vanillay, mallty. Not sure what its supposed to taste like, but to me, its tasting good. Needs some aging but will bring along for tasting.
Where? And who's bringing the BJCP compliant score sheets?
Will we see about upstairs in the Well?
Sounds good - I've a scoresheet from last year's summer comp - can knock something up if that's useful?
Should be able to pop in for a while on Friday.
So what's the story with the small beers comp? Is this the one that has to be BJCP Category 6?
I only have IPA, as usual. ::)
It just had to be sub 4% and 'Summery'. Dilute Jameson should be fine...
Has anyone booked a table at the Well yet? With the good weather and world cup matches the place will probably be jammers on Friday, so really need to let them know we are planning on coming in.
I can contact them if nobody else has already done so.
That'd be great Taf :)

The Cat 6 is the North County Brewers "I can't believe its not a lager" comp!
Fireplace booked from 7.30 onwards, although I probably won't be there until after 8.
Sweet :D
I'm bringing about 20 BJCP Scoresheets
+ 1 comp entry and 1 non-comp.

Great night as always, and I think Mr Hoppy is continuing to corrupt me with his strange Belgian beer! He nearly has me persuaded to brew some funny beer with only 10g of hops!
I don't think you'd sleep well if you brewed a batch with that little hops Taf! Have to admit though, I'm seriously considering an Old Bruin, it must be catching!
Competition beers are on their way to Dublin.
You may thank Sam by buying loads of his beer!
Looking out the window, Imperial Oak Aged Stout seems to be a summer beer again...
Great stuff. Buying Sam's beer definitely isn't a problem - it's even easier for me now the local filling station down the road have started stocking it, great to see them supporting the local scene.
Is that the petrol station in Riverstick? I was in there myself last week and picked up a few bottles of the BIPA, they were sold out of KPA ;D
That's the one - they definitely seem to have problems keeping the KPA in stock, which is no bad thing! I'm doing my best to lower their stocks on the Session IPA at the moment, very fond of it.
Had it in Electric the other night as well.
