Well done brian top job , very neat brew rig on the balcony :)
Nice one. I'll watch that this evening on the TV.
That was very enjoyable. Tempted to go to some of the Dublin meets now - sounds like a great way to learn some tricks :)

Well you are welcome out to the North County Brewers Anytime !
Well done lads, look forward to watching more :)

Double IPA for your second brew? Thats ambitious.
Ha ha, Double IPA tasting, not brewing.
Ahh thats not nearly as much fun (to watch anyway).
Has that DIPA tasting happened yet? Now that would be fun...john_c got a bonus pint of F&F of a green barman in the Dark Horse at the last sth Dub meet! Very welcome but maybe not on a school night!!
Episode 2: Double IPA tasting has now been posted.
Nice vid. Does McHughs still have any Pliny The Elder left in any of the stores or was it just a private tasting? I live quite close to the Kilbarrack one and wouldn't mind an interesting tipple tonight ;)

thanks.
I doubt there was any left, they had 10 bottles between the two stores, and it was a public tasting. Keep an eye on their twitter for events like that.
Episode 3 featuring The Beernut is now on youtube and available for audio download. We discuss how to make the most of your citybreak beerwise, and I share my craft beer pub crawl in Oslo, Norway.

Filmed another episode today with shiny at the Capital Brewers brewday, I reckon that'll be a good one. Coming soon.
Today's Irish Craft Beer Show is all about homebrew clubs, so kind of relevant to the forum ;) We also went to the Beoir icb meet last month in The Beer House, where I discovered the meaning of priming sugar...
Great episode. Very enjoyable, having had a couple of bottles take off in this warm weather I can empathise.. :)
Episode 5 is now up, all about beer festivals.
Next up, the Capital Brewers Tog brewday...
The long awaited Episode 6, Capital Brewers Brewday in Tog
Plenty of familiar faces in this one :D
Next episode will be more from the brewday in tog, this time based on homebrew tasting rather than the brewing. Plenty more good episodes coming up, have the Galway Bay Brewery bus tour, and filmed a load at the Garden County Brewer's comp yesterday. Anyone who has an idea for an episode let me know, I'm open to suggestions. Anything that can help promote craft beer and homebrewing.
Working on the next couple of episodes, will probably be delayed due to the RDS this weekend, but coming soon are:
Episode 7: Capital Brewday Beer Tasting
Episode 8: Galway Bay Pubcrawl
Episode 9: Garden County Brewers Competition
Anybody got any ideas for future shows? Brewdays? Blind tasting? Brewing experiments? Please, let me know.
The RDS !!
You could do something like brewdog did with the mash tag. Take a vote on ingredients and style etc and film it. Could make a fun video.
Oh the camera will be at the RDS alright. Just have to convince people to speak to me...
'Brian approaches another stand and much like the parting of The Red Sea, the punters scurry away to the stands on either side, very strange behaviour.'
More drink and brewer on brewer time for him :)
Start a rumour: "That dude gives you a drink voucher if you give an interview or review a beer!".
Episode 7 now available. Filmed at the same time as the Capital Brewday, a load of us sit around chewing the fat and drink homebrew while shiny does all the work. Shorter than usual this week.
http://youtu.be/3c_7Bi-PQtI
I have episodes 8, 9 and 10 filmed, just need to edit them together. Galway Bay Brewery is episode 8, GCB Irish Red Competition is episode 9 and the RDS beer fest episode 10, look for them over the enxt couple of weeks.
Cheers, appreciate that.
This one has a super high viewcount due to getting a shout out on a friend's popular podcast. Wonder if anyone will stick around for the next episode. Slowly building an audience though, which is cool.
Episode 8 is now available. This was filmed in June on the Galway Bay Brewery bus tour, and features a pub crawl around the GBB bars in Galway city, and a tour of the old breweries.

Episode 9: Garden County Brewers Irish Red Ale Competition is now live! My first time as a beer judge...

Good video actually.
Thanks, actually.
I got 5 minutes in and my clicker App counts 68.
Then I was called for dinner.
Very enjoyable, nice work :)
Looking forward to more.
Apologies for the delay in posting this one, I was on holidays and also had some technical difficulties.
Two more episodes filmed, currently doing up a list of potential future shows. I aim to get 13 out before Christmas.
Once again, anybody who has an idea for an episode or wants an event to be filmed, please let me know.
Just a taught..what about something to do with ladies who brew ;)
Im not talking cheerleaders pretending to brew either :D
This episode was brought to you by the word "actually" :D

More homebrew day visits to nerdy brewers sheds. Most brewing tv episodes are brew days in a shed or a yard. Tasting beers from the kegerator as ye brew. Good craic & educational plus you get to see how everyones setup & process differs. Yer welcome to a brew day in Galway anytime.

I may just take you up on that one! You'll like episode 11, its called "Two Brewdays" and I filmed a brewday in my gaff and a brewday at John_C's, and we compare and contrast our methods.
IT'd be great if you could interviews with some of the breweries. The interview with Chris from GB on the Brewing Network was great. I'd love to hear more like that.

I would definitely like to do that. I kinda held off talking to some of the brewers until I got good at churning these out, no point in wasting a brewery visit and chat if I made a terrible episode out of it. I'm getting there!
man i wish my internet was working so i could watch the vids. data on the phone is a pain in the ass in my place. did ye ever do any blind tastings? i love blind tastings for some reason :) did a ESB and ive a bottle of fullers ready for the big day

That makes sense. Might be easier to get interviews once you've a following too. Anyway great show, I always enjoy it.
A quick bonus episode while I work on the Irish Craft Beer and Cider Festival 2014 ep. Here, a few Irish Podcasters chat about Bo Bristle's Imperial Red.

Episode 10, filmed at the RDS this year is now online. We chat to many of the brewers present there about their beers, and give a bit of a feeling of what it was like to be there.
Featuring Stone Barrel, Metalman, Galway Bay, Eight Degrees, N17, Rascals and many more.

Eep, didn't spot you filming!
Episode 11 - Two Brewdays, is now live! Should you brew by the book, or just take it as it comes? Join me for a brewday in my apartment, then I join John Craddock as he brews his award winning Red Ale.

Great fun to watch and quite educational. I'm there with the feckin' temperature probe getting everything to within .5 C of where I want most of the time, so nice to see I'm just being over anal :)
Great watch, well done lads.
Really enjoyed that, perfect to watch while waiting for the mash. (http://www.thebrewingnetwork.com/forum/images/smilies/drink.gif)
Cheers lads, was a fun one to do.
Yeah that was a great episode. Watching people brew is so weirdly entertaining.
A follow up to episode 11 where we taste the beers brewed, is now live. Episode 11.5!

Sunday's 6 to 8
Enjoyed the bit of crack and agree that 8 degrees have done a great job of leaping to the top of the class :)
Episode 13 is now available, Beoir in Trouble. This was filmed at Trouble Brewing last January for the Beoir #2 brewday.
The audio edition will be up in a few days, don't think that just a straight audio rip of this one would work so I am going to recut it.
Enjoy! Also, please share with anyone who you think may enjoy it. Viewing numbers have been down for the last few episodes, I want this one to hit 500!
Thanks.

Nice video. Interested to see they had Windsor yeast in the yeast store. I wonder what beer are they using it for. :)
16:18 - 16:23 is probably my favorite part! ;-)

While we wait for Episode 14 to be edited, please enjoy this interview recorded at the Alltech Craft Beer and Food festival 2015. Reuben Gray of Beoir awarded Scott Baigent of Eight Degrees Brewing the 2015 Beoir Beer of the Year Trophy for Full Irish IPA.

Episode 15 - The Nationals is now live. Filmed in Alfie Byrne's at the National Brewing Championships 2015. Sorry it took so long, I was moving home which took up most of my time. Hope you all enjoy, plenty of familiar face in this one!

Yay! We're on telly! 8)
Nice work there, Brian. Brought back a few (hazy) memories.
Episode 16 is live, all about Dublin's brewing history. The Beernut takes us on a tour of Dublin, pointing out the places where beer was brewed. And also mustard.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chvYtAIwsI4
Well that was a great watch ! Fair play lads !
Very well put together. Really enjoyed watching it. I wonder could O'Connell's Dublin Ale be brewed again by any brewers in the City.
+1
The editing is really good. And as for the content, let's have more BN on the podcast. Fascinating stuff.
Not by this one in any case, although I would be interested on getting hold of the recipe to have a go
Cheers for the feedback, delighted with the reception this one is getting.
+1
Excellent work!
Now on Youtube, Episode 17 - Home Move Homebrews.
A short minisode to keep you going while I work on the full Episode 17. During a recent brewday, Emmet Ryan of Pint of View called over and we sampled some beers I unearthed when moving home. Here are a couple of them.
Episode 17 proper will be posted shortly.

Good stuff but the audio is way too low.
Really? I actually lowered it by 25% right before posting as I thought it too high on my final listen through! How do you listen, speakers or headphones?
Actually, now that I listen on You Tube audio level seems way down on the version on my PC. Will take it down and fix.
OK, it's updated, how does this sound?
https://youtu.be/mOKlehTeqik
Better :) The intro and voice-over are grand. The tasting session is still a bit quiet but not terribly so. I guess the mic was a bit too far from ye.

First time recording in that room, I've experimented with mic placement since, hope the next few episodes sound better.
Lapel Mics?

Lapel Mics?
Looked into it. Would also need a mixer so it would get expensive. Granted, the sound on the episode I'm editing now isn't the greatest so maybe I need to invest in something better.
Can anyone who sees me at the Beer Fest today who would like to film a 20sec beer review please grab me.
15 usable reviews filmed so far, hope to get at least 25 in the final episode. Even if you've already done one you are welcome to film another.
Episode 17 has finally been posted. Homebrew Science!!! One batch, four yeasts, two clueless tasters.

Just got the go ahead to release this. Episode 18 of the Irish Craft Beer Show, a tour of the Boyne Valley Fruit Farm, home of Dan Kelly's cider.

Hi Brian,
Excellent video, must go talk to them.
Really intersesting about the bio friendly - green approach as opposed to the chemical approach to pest control in orchard management!.
In a few more years ye may just be comming to the Malhadide Rugby Club cider works, may not be 30 hectares but may be 30 or so very interesting apple varieties (x2 or even x3)!
Fastest turnaround ever, Episode 19 from Alltech is live now. We recorded enough for two episodes, so there'll be more coming in the next fortnight, but until then enjoy John The Beer Nut chatting with some brewers.

Part 2 from Alltech is now live, featuring St. Mel's Brewing, Galway Hooker and 5 Minutes of Finney.

This is the last full episode in my backlog released now. Next episode was actually recorded in 2017! I still have some tasting clips recorded at various events that I'll release soon too though.
Day after BrewCon so excuse the hung over head.
A quick fun video this week, I'm currently editing my grainfather brewday episode, so to whet the appetite and to have a short video to promote the channel I uploaded this:

I must by the only Brewer in the country that doesn't brew in slippers, probably time as well I started wearing clothes brewing.
Looking forward to the full vid.
An opportunity for some NHC branded brewing slippers maybe?
I know it's a H&S nightmare, but as a kitchen brewer the steel toed boots have been vetoed.
Something quick from Alltech, John Duffy aka The Beer Nut chats with Scott of Eight Degrees.
