Title: converted pasta machine/grain mill
Post by: christhebrewer on November 26, 2012, 04:14:49 PM
With a funky new crankenstien mill on the way my trusty converted pasta machine is now surplus.
It's an Atlas machine. The rollers were removed, professionally knurled and reassembled. I made a fiberglass hopper which clips on the top and is nice and secure. It clamps to a bench with the original clamp and can be driven by hand or my motor (not included). The gap is easily adjusted and the whole thing works really well.
Can be seen working in Bray any time.
€50 ono
If no one wants it I'll keep it as a spare.
Chris.

Might be just what I'm looking for, any chance of a photo? I'm in Wexford and the road to Bray is quite short if it looks the part ;)

Hey Chris can it be attached to a drill? Or is just a hand crank job?

I'd forgotten about that!
You could drive it from a drill by cutting the hand crank handle and putting the cut end in the chuck of your drill. So yes is the answer. You would need to be careful not to run it too fast. If you could find an Atlas motor on ebay it would be ideal. Then you could get a pasta machine and run that from the motor too!
No I'm not selling my motor, I need it for my pasta machine.

Hi, have you any pics of the mill? It has a hand crank on it at the moment I'm guessing?
Thanks..
