Hi there
Was wondering if anybody in the greater Dubkin area would be willing or interested in loaning or renting out a beer chiller for a forth coming party. I have taps, gas, kegs, beer line etc but no way other than fridge or ice to keep beer cold. Party is on the 5th of July.
If somebody had one that was not being used and wanted to sell it I might be interested if the price was right.

Hi I have a 2 line chiller in Malahide. More than welcome to borrow it.
I assume you can collect and return it?
You might get one nearer to you but we won't see you stuck!

Thanks Will. Not sure there will be too many offers so I will definitely take you up on it. I will be in touch to arrange a mutually agreeable collection time. Yes I can collect & return it. What type of connectors & beer line does it take? My existing taps are using 3/16" beer line for stout and 3/8" beer line for ale/larger. I might have to get some John guest conversion fittings depending on the diameters of what the chiller takes.

Buckets (fermenters) filled with ice water. Stand the cornies in. A lot less hassle than a chiller and what we used in the Bernard Shaw last year. Cornies start to bob when they're nearing empty, but so what, they're well cooled by then!
Getting sufficient ice is problem and I don't want to be putting dirty kegs into my fermenters. it's good to know about this option though. Another good reason to get some additional buckets from Allpack. I like the simplicity of the chiller especially given the fact that the kegs will be on the go from early afternoon till the early hours most likely.
Thanks
Shanna
I have a "keg parka", basically a wetsuit type Neoprene sleeve that slides over the Cornie keg thus insulating it. See:

Worked well for a party I provided akeg for last year. I can bring it along to our meeting on Thurs 26 June if you like.
Also have a 2 line cooler that you can borrow if you're stuck.
