Made with 4" kingspan. I used it upright with my conical fermenter but as a chest,it will fit 2 x 33lt fermenters with plenty of space for a stir plate. it could also be fitted with 2 insulated walls to make 3 separately controlled chambers.
Its around 100cm x 60cm x 60cm on the inside, which is to big for my small brew shed.
cost around €80 to build as it took nearly 1 and 1/2 sheets.
could sell for €40 or maybe swap for beer :P

ideally get a table say with guides and get nice perfect cuts. measure up what sizes u need and stick them together with duct tape or foil tape. Ideally silicone carefully the inside joins and job is done. The one thing about 4 inch kingspan is its near perfect insulation. Will keep great temp is assembles well. Other option is a chest freezer but unlikely the insulation properties will be nearly as good as the 4 inch stuff in the pic
@Cara
always need malt, but beer might be more tempting if you have something I'd like. i'll give ya a bell later and you can tell me whats on offer.
@shanna
pretty much what bren said,It took a bit of time but its pretty easy. when your cutting the kingspan to size (especially the 4") take your time and make sure you get right angles. when I taped mine together with duck tape their was a few gaps here and their which I used expanding foam to fill, this served as an extra adhesive. thats pretty much it.
@bren
you'd fit 4 corny's comfortably with space for a shelf on top if Declan lends it to ya. ;D
Wow cataahbrua that sounds fantastic... great so ill give ya 40 euros and ill throw in a large bottle of special special beer :P ;D Beer if cara dosnt stop pissin about and actually puts his money where his mouth is....I'm bein a gentleman here...normally I'd say fluck cara's procrastination 40 quid is half the price of the materials..
@ lads.... a sheet of 4" kingspan is 30+ a sheet...add on a couple of silicones, a few rolls duct tape and a can of expanding foam u are into 80 euros + a gud few hours labour!
Cathalbrua its mine if cara is not taking it :)
regards
I'm hopefully taking it ya cheeky bugger! Ive sent him a list of my special hidey away beers :P
@Cahalbrua, where does the temp control come from? At first glance, I thought it was built around a minifridge for cooling but I'm seeing it's just a box now (albeit a beautiful, well made one!!).
Never got around to making holes in it. just put the prode and light wires in through the front. cos the insulation is so good and I was using a SS fermentor, I found that the heat that dissipated from the fermentor at the start of fermentation increased the ambient temp. so if I set my temp to 20oc it could still be 23/24 inside if I didn't leave the door open a few inches for the first few days.
